When I think of backpacks, I think of school. I loved them so much back then very simply because they were roomy, perfect for all your school stuff. Alas, the love affair with the backpack was shortlived especially with the discovery of the huge bag community (sling bags, totes, clutch bags just to name a few). Recently, however, I've noticed more people being snapped carrying the backpack. A comeback perhaps? Then again, it probably didn't go away in the first place.
The backpack in all shapes and sizes.
There's a name for this kinda backpack I believe? Looks like something the army boys would carry or for when you go camping/hiking. Also can be used as a punching bag. Haha.
And then there's the shoes. This time round, it's shoes+socks V.S. the sockless look.
To many, socks are probably just an essential or expected piece to go with shoes. I personally think, like scarves, socks can be used as an accessorizing piece to jazz up an outfit. Wearing coloured/patterned socks with shoes of a single colour, especially if it's peeping out of a folded pants hem/rolled-up pants (like those pictured) makes the overall look much more interesting don't you think?
Love the details of the cut-out leather shoes (above) and how cool is that loafer that's entirely weaved (below)?
Wingtips/brogues are one of the most common footwear for men. Seems like it's rather popular for the Italians to go sockless while wearing these shoes. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if there's some sort of style rule/tradition on that or it's simply just a personal choice?
Nice flap detail.
Colourful bright shoes!
For everyone in Singapore, enjoy the Hari Raya holiday tomorrow! For everyone else, happy almost-mid-week!=)
